How do I make a calendar?
To make a calendar, choose a start month and how many months you need, pick a design and options, type your events, then press Print / Save as PDF. Each month prints on its own page, on Letter or A4 paper.
- Choose the start month, year and number of months (1 to 24).
- Pick one of the 10 designs, the week start, paper size and orientation.
- Turn US holidays, ISO week numbers or moon phases on or off.
- Type or paste your events, one per line.
- Press Print / Save as PDF and pick a printer, or Save as PDF.
Date formats for events
The maker reads 4 date formats at the start of each line, followed by the event text:
- 2027-03-14 Mom's birthday (year-month-day)
- 3/14/2027 Dentist (month/day/year)
- 3/14 Anniversary (month/day, repeated in every year of the calendar)
- March 14, 2027: Team offsite (month name, day, optional year)
Lines the maker can't read are listed under the box so you can fix them.
Your events stay on your device
The calendar is built in your browser, and your events are never sent to our server. Your last settings and events are saved in this browser's storage so they are there next time; clearing your browser data removes them.
How do I save the calendar as a PDF?
To save a PDF, press Print / Save as PDF and choose "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF" on Windows) as the printer. Set the scale to 100% and turn off headers and footers. On a phone, some browsers ignore the page size, so the ready-made PDFs on each month page are the safer choice there.
Years the maker covers
The maker covers 2025 to 2030, the years our holiday and moon data includes. Federal holidays use the observed dates in the OPM schedule, and moon phases are shown in Eastern Time.
