Vertical Calendar
A vertical calendar lists the days of a month down the page, one line per day, instead of in a 7-column grid. Each line has the date, the weekday, any US federal holiday, and space to write.

Why use a vertical calendar?
A vertical calendar gives every day a full-width line, so it holds longer notes than a grid box. It suits daily logs, habit and medication tracking, reading lists, and shift schedules. Weekends are shaded, so weeks are still easy to spot.
Landscape and portrait layouts
In portrait, all the days run in 1 column; in landscape, the month splits into 2 columns. January 2027, for example, has 31 lines. Portrait gives each line more width, and landscape gives each line more height.
Week start
A vertical list has no weekday columns, so the same file works for Sunday-start and Monday-start weeks. Each line names its weekday.
Vertical calendar FAQ
Do vertical calendars show holidays?
Yes. US federal holidays and widely observed days are printed on their lines, and observed days off are marked.
Can I print a whole year in the list layout?
Yes. The 12-page PDFs give one vertical month per page.
Is there an editable vertical calendar?
No. The vertical design comes as PDF and PNG. For editable files, use the Classic, Notes or Blank grid in Word or Excel.
Can I add my own events to a vertical calendar?
Yes. The calendar maker offers the vertical list design and prints your events on their days.
