How to Print a Calendar on One Page

To print a calendar on one page, download the PDF in your paper size (Letter or A4), open it, and print at "Actual size" or 100% scale. Every calendar on this site is built to fit one sheet, so you shouldn't need to change anything else.

Letter or A4: which paper size should I pick?

Pick Letter in the United States and Canada, and A4 almost everywhere else. The two sizes are close but not the same:

PaperInchesMillimetersUsed in
US Letter8.5 × 11 in215.9 × 279.4 mmUnited States, Canada, Mexico, parts of Latin America
A48.27 × 11.69 in210 × 297 mmMost other countries

Each design on this site fits inside the area both sizes share, with 0.4 in margins. If you print a Letter file on A4 paper at actual size, or the other way round, nothing is cut off; only the margins look uneven. Choosing the matching file gives even margins.

Should I print at actual size or fit to page?

Print at actual size (100%). The calendar already fits the page, so "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages" only makes it slightly smaller. Avoid "Fill entire paper", which can crop the edges.

How do I remove the date and web address from the printout?

To remove them, turn off "Headers and footers" in your browser's print settings. Browsers add the page title, date and web address only when you print a web page. Printing the downloaded PDF from a PDF app never adds them.

The Print button on each month page sends the calendar you previewed straight to the print dialog, set to the paper and orientation you chose. Turn on "Background graphics" if the shaded weekends or color headers don't appear.

How do I print a calendar from an iPhone or iPad?

To print from an iPhone or iPad, download the PDF, tap the Share button, choose Print, then pick an AirPrint printer. Downloaded files open in the Files app if Safari doesn't show them straight away.

Use the PDF rather than the page's Print button on a phone. Some versions of iOS Safari ignore the page size a website asks for, and the PDF always carries its own size.

How do I print from an Android phone?

To print from Android, open the downloaded PDF, tap the menu, choose Print, and pick your printer. Most printers connect through the Default Print Service or the printer maker's app. Set the paper size in the print screen to match the file.

Using the calendars in GoodNotes or Notability

Download the PDF on the tablet, then open it with the Share menu in GoodNotes or Notability, or import it from inside the app. The calendar becomes a page you can write on with a stylus. The portrait designs fill an iPad screen best.

The PDFs are not hyperlinked planners, so the pages don't jump between months.

How do I print the Word or Excel versions on one page?

To print the Word or Excel files on one page, print them as they are: each file already has its paper size, margins and one-page fit set. If you add a lot of text to one day, the box keeps its height and hides the overflow, so shorten the text or use a smaller font.

In Excel, keep Scaling at "Fit Sheet on One Page". In Google Sheets, choose "Fit to page" under Scale in the print settings.

  5. Turn off headers and footers if you print from a browser.
